~/marcos/sobre — córdoba

I'm Marcos Portales. I live in Córdoba, Spain, and I studied Licenciatura en CC at UCLV (Cuba). I speak Spanish native and English B1.

This isn't a CV. It's the version I'd tell out loud.

How I got here

The degree was at UCLV: early full-stack with Java, Spring, and Vaadin.

Remote work followed: a metro simulator in D3.js, electronic signatures in Vue for thousands of users, a Next.js and AI SaaS, and a stretch of IIoT.

I moved to Spain. Now I'm in Córdoba, Spain: IT at C.A.S. Moriles since February 2026, and freelance frontend and full-stack since June 2026. The client proof lives on the route.

What I like building

I care about the interface and the backend that holds it up. Up front, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Tailwind. Behind that, Node, Nest, and PostgreSQL.

The lab is for play. What's already in production sits in projects. If you want to write, message is open.
